The MS Society, the largest MS charity in the UK, funds research, gives grants, campaigns for change, provides information and support, and lends a listening ear to those who need it. The MS Society has a range of emotional, financial and practical support tools, including a helpline and email support service.
MS Trust has useful support tools including information for people who have just been diagnosed with MS, as well as information for people who want to access MS services and much more.
Shift.ms is an online network for young people with MS to interact and support each other by sharing their experiences and thoughts. As well as providing factual information about MS it provides the first cognitive behavioural therapy tool designed for people with MS to help them cope with the uncertainty and complex emotions that accompany their disease.
The missing pieces report
Download the "Missing Pieces" report which aims to identify the gaps or ‘missing pieces’ in knowledge, awareness, treatment pathways and care plans, which are preventing people with MS from accessing the right treatment. It has explored the attitudes of people with MS and their healthcare providers towards treatment in the UK and underlines the need to challenge our thinking around treatment goals and end-points.
